Druker (only 1 prim). User Manual.

Druker – is special machine for printing texts in-world. The texts output in the shape of component segments of characters (balls and cylinders). With the help of parameters it is possible to set a direction of an output of the text, width and height of symbols, colour of each symbol.

Druker controlled by owner completely via commands on one of a private chat channel.

The channel number shows on a top of Druker. For example to send a message on a channel 951 just type to chat:

/951 phrase Test

Druker print symbols like a printhead of matrix printer, therefore it's so named. Thus, in during a set it appears at the end of a line. And then is dislodged in a point where it rez on.

The printing of a new line begins with the same place, where initiated previous.

The symbols a here a druker and can be deleted by it at any moment.

The default 'temp' release of Druker creates a temporary elements, and they live about 90 seconds. For regular redrawing of them you need to use option ��autorepeat'. For example set it to 60.

This notecard sets the options of Druker, and can be changed by drop your's note "options" into the Druker.

Its format completely corresponds to command of "Druker's command", one command per line. Also at the end of each command it is possible to specify the comments after the sign of a lattice (#). Example:

 kx 0.6  # factor of symbol's width

The text without markers (see "Druker's command", markers) outputs simply along an axis X in a positive direction.

To arrange the text under other corner, or on slant, the system of points of markers consisting from one or several cuts preset in coordinates concerning a point of original rez point of Druker is applied.

Usually texts output to the proportionally to initial sizes. However sometimes at Registration of advertising it happens it is useful to apply too lowed, or, on the contrary the stretched (dragged out) characters. In this case it is necessary to set different factors of width and height.

As is done here by command ky. For example, for the prolated hill up text, it is possible to set: kx = 0.2, ky = 0.5.

The colours of symbols are set by vectors <r,g,b> in a range [0..1] for every color range. For example, the pure red colour – <1,0,0>, pure green – <0,1,0>, pure dark blue – <0,0,1>. To combine of number in a vector, is possible to pick up any color.

And, it is possible to select colour directly in place, not addressing to a Druker – each character itself hears the world on the channel /chnD+1 (Druker's channel + 1).

Example: to set character 1 to green type:

 /952 cols 1 <0,1,0>

Attention: vector's values in you commands must be without spaces between coordinates of vector, for example, "<0.3, 0.5, 0.7>" – not worked, but "<0.3,0.5,0.7>" – will done. It will be corrected in new releases.

Balls are a small spheres drawn at junctions of segments. Set them on will be slower than without it. It's useful to draw short phrases to make symbols looks accurately.

Release Druker 2.4 accept www-requests with options. It's very useful for http-controlled presentation. Example: php-script on your server every time change the 1st string. Druker read this from Internet every autorepeat seconds and change it too. Format of row: options splitted by "#".

Example:

Also for web-purpose useful of use "base_pos" – set the place on current sim, where Phrase will be print.

The Druker works on the channel 2..999. You can set special channel by command "chno". Druker listen anyone, also it can listen another prim, that will command it. And you can create own control panel for this purpose, or order it from Author (this time it's no such panels).

The operation above a program stuffing of a Druker is still carried on. Therefore more often convert to the author concerning occurrence of the new versions.

If it is necessary to hide Druker from eyes, it is necessary to cover it with any prim. And in token to specify an output at height a minimum of 2 meters. Then it will pass a line and will disappear under covering.

Saled release of Druker generate temporary elements every ��autorepeat' seconds. It's useful for economy prims purpose. But for land owners there is a stable elements generation release. It create usual (non-temp) elements. Also It can be used for ��writing on the Land' – it can create very long phrases (about 150 meters).

This release costs 2999L$ and cannot be used for griefers purpose. Contact Author to order it.

Limited (rental) use of Druker have small cost, but it'll work about 1 month. After this time your druker will disabled.

Unlimited release have not time restrictions, also later you can upgrade current release of your Druker to up-to-date release from Druker's Author for low fee.
